"Chan" painting in engraved bronze and pewter with hand-painted colorful enamels, hand-brazed sculptured bronze frame, and integrated patinated bronze picture light by Philip and Kelvin LaVerne, American 1960's. Signed “Philip and    Kelvin LaVerne” on bottom center with gallery label on back.  Hand-brazing the sculptured frame for this artwork adds another artistic element to the artwork.

ALCHEMY: THE ART OF PHILIP AND KELVIN LAVERNE written by Evan Lobel with Kelvin LaVerne, published by Pointed Leaf Press in 2024, this Chan engraved painting is shown on page 52 in the section titled Historical Civilization Series . The caption reads, “This CHAN engraved painting has a hand-brazed sculptured frame with an integrated light and dates from the 1960s. The LaVernes incorporated lights in some of their paintings. The lights were patinated to match the rest of the work.”

Jacques Fabert "Decouverte" Painting 1962

Original oil on board "Decouverte" with abstract figural motif by Jacques Fabert. Originally part of an exhibition in San Francisco 1962. Signed and labeled on verso as well as a label of exhibition.

Jacques was born in 1925 in Paris, France and studied at the Ecole Nationale Superieure des Beaux Arts in Paris. He has been featured in many one man and group shows. As a result of his life accomplishments Jacques Fabert works are part of many private and corporate collections all over the world. Jacques has taught in diverse American art institutions on both the East and West Coasts. Since 1972, he has been a resident of Bucks County, Pennsylvania. He is listed in the Who's Who in American Art, Who's Who and Men of Achievement.

Pair of original abstract works on paper in silver frames by John Konstantin Hansegger, Switzerland 1987 & 1988.  Hansegger was born in Switzterland in 1908 and as a young painter moved to Paris and became a member of an artistic circle of avant garde artists, among them Picasso with whom he developed a friendship. Hansegger is one of the few artists to ever paint Picasso’s portrait. He mastered Cubism, Surrealism and invented a unique style. Abstract Parallels filled with symbolic imagery in bright primary colors. Picasso and Swiss Fernand Leger encouraged his career.   He later lived in the United States.

Large and rare "Bandiere" vase, hand-blown with multicolor rods all around, by Anzolo Fuga for Arte Vetraria Muranese (A.V.E.M.), Murano Italy, 1955-58.  "Bandiere" means "Flag".  This series was so named because of the way the glass rods laid out before they were blown.
