Rare "Eternal Forest" round game table in patinated and engraved bronze and pewter with hand-painted subtle enamels by Philip & Kelvin LaVerne, American 1972 (signed “Philip Kelvin LaVerne” on top). The “Eternal Forest” series is one of the artists’ most enchanting. The coffee tables are rare and game tables like these are even rarer. This is a stunning work of art.

ALCHEMY: THE ART OF PHILIP AND KELVIN LAVERNE written by Evan Lobel with Kelvin LaVerne, published by Pointed Leaf Press in 2024, this table is shown on pages 120 in the section titled The Abstract Series. The caption reads, “Created in the 1960s, the ETERNAL FOREST table is described in the Philip and Kelvin LaVerne, Sculpture III catalog, published in the 1970s: ”Symbol of the continuity of life and growth, a peaceful unending forest stands before us. Hand-sculptured of bronze and pewter, with delicate tones of natural patinas.”
