Exceptional “Chan Li” 4 door cabinet in patinated and engraved bronze and pewter with continuous Chinese scene with hand-painted vibrant enamels of blue, red and orange with red lacquered interior and hand-chased bronze plinth base by Philip & Kelvin LaVerne, American 1960s (signed “Philip & Kelvin LaVerne“ on front). The sides and back are in the Kuan pattern of interlocking circles which is meant to evoke something from the past. The interior holds bronze trimmed shelves and a felt-lined drawer with Kuan pattern front and fish shaped pull. This rare cabinet is an impressive and masterful work of art.
