Anzolo Fuga Exquisite Hand-Blown Glass Cat with Fish Bones Inside 1950s

Evan Lobel

Rare and important hand-blown glass cat with fish bones shown in its stomach by Anzolo Fuga for Arte Vetraria Muranese (A.V.E.M.) Murano Italy 1950’s. This work has a corroso finish except where the glass is cut away in the front to reveal the fish bones. Fuga created unique and highly creative works for A.V.E.M. during his time there. This cat exemplifies his superb creativity and the fine artisanship of the glass blowers there.
