Magnificent cast solid bronze sculpture with glass top by Fred Brouard, France 1970's (signed “F. Brouard” on leg). Brouard was a French sculptor who made both functional sculptures like this table and free standing sculptures. The artisanship and complexity of the base is impressive — it is an absolute showstopper. The bronze base can accommodate any size glass top. We can help customize a glass top to spec for you.

Superb "Chan” dining/game/center table in patinated and engraved bronze and pewter with hand-painted blue, orange and red enamels with gold and copper leaf by Philip & Kelvin LaVerne, American 1960's (Signed “Philip & Kelvin LaVerne” on top). The coloration on this table is absolutely magnificent and pristine. This is an iconic Philip and Kelvin LaVerne work of art.

ALCHEMY: THE ART OF PHILIP AND KELVIN LAVERNE written by Evan Lobel with Kelvin LaVerne, published by Pointed Leaf Press in 2024, The Chan Series is discussed at length in the introduction and tables are shown on pages 44-49 in the section titled Historical Civilization Series. The caption from the LaVerne catalog reads, “Chinese artistry at its peak under the Chan Dynasty is recreated in this intricately carved design. We see peasants carrying a sacred gift to the Emperor’s child. Delicately wrought leaves and figures, combine with a rich variety of multicolored patinas to create the Chinoiserie top. The design is credited as inspiring and evoking French and English periods of furniture design.”

This is a unique work of art and it’s extremely impressive in person. This base can take a square or round glass top if you want to make it a dining table.

Karl Springer Rare Jansen Style Table in Polished Gunmetal and Brass 1980s

Rare and exceptional "Pentagonal Jansen Style Table" in polished gunmetal and gold tinted brass with thick glass top by Karl Springer, American 1980's. The meticulous craftsmanship and beautiful materials are the hallmarks of Karl Springer’s designs. This table can be used as a dining table with a large glass top (as shown) or a center table with a top fitted to the base. It is very versatile and was designed to be such. The metal has been completely restored and the table is in excellent condition. We will fabricate a new glass top to spec for the purchaser.
