Retains original paper gallery label on bottom (see pic). This table is in wonderful condition with superb coloration. A timeless LaVerne design.

The caption from the LaVerne catalog reads, “Chinese artistry at its peak under the Chan Dynasty is recreated in this intricately carved design. We see peasants carrying a sacred gift to the Emperor’s child. Delicately wrought leaves and figures, combine with a rich variety of multicolored patinas to create the Chinoiserie top. The design is credited as inspiring and evoking French and English periods of furniture design.”

Rare and exceptional "Hexagonal Jansen Style Table" in polished gunmetal and brass with thick glass top by Karl Springer, American 1980's. The meticulous craftsmanship and beautiful materials are the hallmarks of Karl Springer’s designs. This table can be used as a dining table with a large glass top (as shown) or a center table with a top fitted to the base. It is very versatile and was designed to be such. The metal has been completely restored and the table is in excellent condition. We will fabricate a new glass top to spec for the purchaser. It can take a larger glass top if desired.

The craftsmanship is absolutely superb. The Jansen Style Table was typically done as a dining table or center table. This variation is very rare. The shape of this table along with the combination of chrome and brass make this table supremely chic.
