Harvey Probber Tall Chest of Drawers in Mahogany and Brass 1950s (Signed)

Beautifully made tall chest of drawers model no 865 in mahogany with brass accents and sliding doors at top concealing pull out shelves by Harvey Probber, American 1950's (signed “Furniture designed by Harvey Probber, Fall River, Massachusetts” on inside of drawer). The pull out drawers on the right are lined with cork. There is a little jewelry drawer on the top of the right side. This piece is beautifully made and the interior is superbly outfitted.

Philip and Kelvin LaVerne Arabesque Sculpture in Bronze 1970s (Signed)

Unique cast and patinated bronze sculpture of a woman's torso in an arabesque pose on a black lacquer wood base by Philip & Kelvin LaVerne, American 1970's (signed “PK LaVerne” on back of leg). The human form is one of the hardest to sculpt and cast. This work is inspired by dance and ballet. The LaVernes took an interest in all art forms and enjoyed sculpting the human body. It’s a stunning piece.

Tufted camel leather chaise from the System 1-2-3 Series by Verner Panton for Fritz Hansen, Denmark 1970's. Verner Panton is considered one of Denmark's most influential 20th-century furniture and interior designers. He was famous for exuberant forms and this chaise is a wonderful example. Rare and important 4 door "Fantasia Credenza" in patinated and engraved bronze and pewter with abstract design on doors by Philip & Kelvin LaVerne, American 1960's. Signed on door “Philip + Kelvin LaVerne”. The interior is lacquered and beautifully finished with curving bronze-edged shelves and felt lined drawer. This motif was inspired by music. Very few of these cabinets were made. This is a work of art. Shown with a rare and important Paul Evans mirror.

Philip and Kelvin LaVerne Rare "Unexpected Consequences" Mirror 1970s (Signed) - SOLD

Rare and important mirror “Unexpected Consequences” in patinated bronze, frame with channeled continuous curled tubular element by Philip & Kelvin LaVerne, 1970s (signed on frame “Philip Kelvin LaVerne”). Originally Kelvin had designed this mirror differently, but the tubular element had bends and flat sections so Kelvin decides to let the metal dictate the shape. In the end, he noted that it came out better than he designed it. That’s why he called it “Unexpected Consequences.”
