Exceptional “Parsons Style Backgammon Table” in taupe embossed lizard leather with polished chrome accents with removable cover by Karl Springer, American 1990 (leather label on bottom reads “Karl Springer 1990”). This comes complete with the original matching cups, black and yellow game pieces and dice. The unsurpassed craftsmanship and materials of this table are what made Karl Springer famous.

Mixed media sculpted abstract art "Rows End” by Harry Irving Gates, American 1961 (signed and dated on front and original gallery label on back).
A professor of sculpture from 1964 at George Washington University in Washington DC, Harry Irving Gates became Professor Emeritus in 2002. A talented artist who worked in various mediums, he creates mixed media works as well as large-scale abstract sculpture. His work is in numerous collections including that of the Chase Manhattan Bank in New York, the Corcoran Gallery in Washington DC, and Washington ans Lee University in Virginia.
