The meticulous craftsmanship and beautiful materials are the hallmarks of Karl Springer’s designs. This table can be used as a dining table with a large glass top (as shown) or a center table with a top fitted to the base. It is very versatile and was designed to be such. The metal has been completely restored and the table is in excellent condition. We will fabricate a new glass top to spec for the purchaser. It can take a larger glass top if desired.

Hand-crafted desk in brushed stainless steel with intricate brass pulls and accents with 3 drawers and embossed black leather top by P.E. Guerin, American c.1950 (signed “P.E.G.” on back of pull). It has been authenticated by the workshop. This desk comes with keys. The legs are beautifully fluted. The desk top has been completely restored and the leather newly embossed. P.E. Guerin is a foundry located in NYC making super finely crafted custom metal pieces using skills passed down from the founder which started the company in 1857. This desk is a rare superb jewel.

Rare and important “Male and Female Torso” table lamps in Hydro Stone plaster on patinated bronze bases by Philip & Kelvin LaVerne, American 1970’s (signed "PK LaVerne" on both bases).  These table lamps have been finished with a patina that makes them look like excavated sculptures and are very impressive.  As many of the LaVerne's pieces reference historical civilizations, these reference ancient Greek and Roman sculptures.  New custom shades provided by Lobel Modern. These have been newly rewired with new bronze sockets and silk cord. There is a switch on the back of each lamp which turns both sockets on and off at the same time.

Reference:
ALCHEMY: THE ART OF PHILIP AND KELVIN LAVERNE written by Evan Lobel with Kelvin LaVerne, published by Pointed Leaf Press in 2024, these lamps are shown on pages 231 in the section titled Other Materials. The caption reads, “MALE AND FEMALE TORSO table lamps in Hydro-Stone plaster that have been patinated by hand to resemble ancient sculptures with patinated bronze bases were created in the 1970s. These lamps are an homage to classical Greco-Roman torso sculptures.”
