Pair of impressive candelabra floor lamps, each with 5 lights, in engraved bronze adorned with faceted crystals atop fluted ivory lacquered pedestal bases, France 1950's. Large crystal finials are original. The crystals and bronze formation evoke a lovely floral motif. A new floor switch has been added by Lobel Modern.

T.H. Robsjohn-Gibbings Large Tailored Mirror in Walnut 1954 (Signed)

Large clean-line mirror model no. 5012 in walnut with knife edge design by T.H. Robsjohn-Gibbings for Widdicomb, American 1954 (label on back reads “Widdicomb Furniture Company” above stamped date and model number). The design of this mirror is simple and elegant. It is newly refinished. It can be hung both vertically and horizontally.

Widdicomb fold out paper catalog from the 1950’s, there is a drawing of this model with the caption “5012 Mirorr (W)” with “W” meaning walnut. In the center of the foldout is a full page color photograph of this model mirror hanging in a bedroom scene, with a description noting the images were taken from House Beautiful magazine.

Large end table model 3334 in walnut with double stretcher design and Klismos legs by T.H. Robsjohn-Gibbings for Widdicomb, American 1957 (Label on bottom reads “Widdicomb Grand Rapids” underneath with stamped date and model number). The double stretcher design is elegant and very streamlined. This table has been newly refinished.

Unique 2-piece "Etruscan Spiral Dining Table” in patinated bronze and pewter with engraved abstract design by Philip & Kelvin LaVerne, 1960's (signed on both bases “Philip Kelvin LaVerne”). This dining table is composed of 2 square tables on bronze castors with original hardware on the undersides which latches them together to form a seamless single dining table. If you unlatch them you have 2 square dining/game tables. An ingenious design by two of the most inventive artists of the 20th century. These tables are magnificent.

ALCHEMY: THE ART OF PHILIP AND KELVIN LAVERNE written by Evan Lobel with Kelvin LaVerne, published by Pointed Leaf Press in 2024, these tables are shown in the section on The Abstract Series on pages 126-7. James Rosenquist Vibrant Etching "Rouge Pad" 1978 (Signed and Numbered)

"ROUGE PAD" (GLENN 134), an etching with aquatint, printed in colors, hand-signed in pencil, titled, and numbered in pencil 25/78 by James Rosenquist, American 1978 (Signed on front, “James Rosenquist 1978”). The colors and movement in this etching are sensational. Beautifully matted set in a custom gold leaf frame.

James Albert Rosenquist (November 29, 1933 – March 31, 2017) was an American artist and one of the proponents of the Pop Art movement. Drawing from his background working in sign painting, Rosenquist's pieces often explored the role of advertising and consumer culture in art and society, utilizing techniques he learned making commercial art to depict popular cultural icons and mundane everyday objects. He is represented in every major museum.

Rare "Coromandel Mirror" hand carved and hand decorated in black lacquer with channels painted in red lacquer and antiqued silver and gold leaf by Karl Springer, American 1980's. The glass mirror is beautifully beveled. The artisanship of this mirror is superb. This is considered one of Springer’s best designs.

Karl Springer Ming Writing Desk/Console in Embossed Crocodile 1970s - SOLD

Beautifully crafted Ming Writing Desk/Console in lacquered embossed crocodile leather with 3 drawers by Karl Springer, American 1970's. This was originally designed as a console which doubled as a writing desk but it is perfectly suited to be either. The glides on the drawers have been replaced with self-closing glides. Drawer bottoms covered in moire silk. Center drawer has a pencil holder. Springer’s lacquered leathers were typically done in a 2 tone lacquer and the colors here are white and ivory. 2 Tone lacquers give the leather incredible depth.
