Rare pair of “Special Festival Coffee Tables” in patinated end engraved bronze and pewter with painted enamels by Philip & Kelvin LaVerne, American, 1960's. (Signed “Philip and Kelvin LaVerne on both table tops” and “Philip LaVerne Galleries Ltd.” labels on bottom of both tables). These tables are incredible works of art.

The caption reads, “The SPRING FESTIVAL DIP coffee tables were made in the 1960s. The tops of these tables were made and then bent into shape by hand. The scene shows a celebration to honor the Emperor’s child and heir in the city of Pien, around 1368.”
