Karl Springer Rare Backgammon/Games Table in Lacquered Goatskin 1970s - SOLD

Rare and exceptional "Parsons Style Backgammon Table" in lacquered goatskin with brass trim, backgammon board with inset gray and ox blood leather points, with flip up storage compartments and original game pieces and cups by Karl Springer, American 1970s. On the underside of the top which covers the backgammon table is a checker/chess board. Very few of these tables were made in lacquered goatskin. It is superbly crafted and very luxurious.

Kelvin LaVerne” on front). Large engraved paintings by the LaVernes are captivating. The color and depth of the enamel cloisonne is stunning.

Paul Evans Pair of Rare Etageres in Tessellated Burl and Brass 1975

Rare pair of etageres from the PE 500 series, called Waterfall, in tessellated burl with radius corners in tessellated brass and smoked glass shelves by Paul Evans for Directional Furniture, American 1975. This model etagere is rare and to have a pair is even rarer. The wood and brass have been restored .

The Fantasia motif is based on music and is one of the LaVernes’ most entrancing designs.

The back and interior are completely finished. These pieces by Alain Delon are very hard to come by. Very few designers could mix three metals with such stunning results.

Paolo Buffa Exceptional Illuminated Liquor Cabinet with Intricate Inlays 1950s

Remarkable liquor cabinet in Italian mahogany with chevron pattern on sides and front with two doors each displaying four exquisitely inlaid fencing motifs by Paolo Buffa, Italy 1950's. Inside are four glass shelves on each door and ten drawers with brass pulls. Original incandescent lights have been replaced with LED lights by Lobel Modern. There is one large display section at the top, and two smaller open sections below. The interior of the cabinet is covered in mirrored panels. It is locked with a brass key and has wonderful decorated legs with engraved brass sabots. Every aspect of this Buffa cabinet is superb.
