Philip & Kelvin LaVerne Superb Large Mirror with Waves Motif 1960s (signed) - SOLD

Evan Lobel

Large and important wall hanging mirror with frame in patinated bronze and pewter with hand-painted multicolor enamels and corners engraved with WAVES motif by Philip & Kelvin LaVerne, American 1960's (signed “Philip Kelvin LaVerne”). This is one of the largest and best LaVerne mirrors we have seen. Both elegant and artisan, it's a true work of art. This mirror can hang horizontally or vertically.

Anzolo Fuga Vase with Multicolor Rods ca 1955 - SOLD

Hand-blown vase with multicolor rods by Anzolo Fuga for AVEM (Arte Vetraria Muranese), Murano Italy, ca 1955. This is one of Fuga’s most recognized designs. As the master stained glass designer on Murano, he used multicolor rods against white glass to create windows around his pieces.

David Levinthal Large Unique Metallic Tinted Mermaid Print 1993

Large and unique Scanamural photographic print, Untitled from the series Die Nibelungen, on silver lame acrylic, of mermaid with custom black steel frame by David Levinthal, American 1993. This is a unique variation and is not in the edition. The silver lame gives the entire surface of the print a shimmery quality. David Levinthal is an American photographer who lives and works in New York City. He uses small toys, figures and props with dramatic lighting to construct miniature environments for subject matters varying from war scenes to voyeurism to racial and political references to American pop culture. His works are provocative and thought provoking. His works are in the collection of The Museum of Modern Art (NYC), The Met (NYC), The Whitney Museum, The Centre Pompidou in Paris amongst others.

The coloration and condition are extraordinary. This is a work of art.
